BDC

BDC – Becoming Digitally Conscious

Description

The BDC project actively works towards the promotion of healthy digital habits among young Europeans, whose ages range between 18 to 25, and mitigation of the issue of digital addiciton. An important consequence of the incorporation of digital devices in various areas of life that takes place across European countries is often followed by excessive and pathological internet use. The BDC projects wants to develop non-formal tools for the promotion of digital competences, in an attempt to raise young people’s awareness of the potential dangers of the excessive digital use. The project also aims to inform young people on ways of incorporating physically active and expressive activities in order to diminish screen time and improve mental health and overall wellbeing.

Objectives

  • To develop a program of educational activities for young people on the conscious use of digital devices. – to trian a cluster of youth workers who can implement these educational activities. – to succesfully raise awareness about the effects of excessive inernet use around the partner countries.
