FOOD RESCUE project aims at fostering education as an essential element of the global response to climate change. Particularly, the project aims at helping young learners understand and address the impact of global warming, increase “climate literacy”, and encourage change in their attitudes and behavior. The project will achieve this goal by developing an innovative ‘applied learning’ educational package based on food waste as a conceptual context for learning by combining a variety of tools such as maker’s education and youth participation and activism.
