FAMVERSITY is a 24-month Erasmus+ project running from November 2025 to October 2027. It focuses on supporting parents and caregivers as key facilitators of diversity learning within the family, where many of the most meaningful conversations about differences begin.
FAMVERSITY empowers parents and caregivers to talk about diversity with their children in an open, confident, and age-appropriate way. It provides practical, family-friendly tools and digital resources that help families start meaningful conversations about differences, including culture, identity, abilities, gender, beliefs, and backgrounds. By strengthening communication, empathy, and reflection within families, the project fosters stronger relationships and more inclusive mindsets across generations.
The project also supports adult educators through a structured training course and an Educators’ Resource Pack, enabling professionals to effectively guide and motivate parents in family-based and intergenerational diversity learning. FAMVERSITY develops and tests innovative learning resources for everyday family use, including a Digital Activation Kit, a Micro-Learning Program, and a Family Reflection Journal. These resources are created through a participatory approach, involving parents and educators in research activities, surveys, and co-design labs.
All key resources and learning opportunities are brought together in the Famversity Hub, a digital space for continuous learning, experience sharing, and community building across countries and generations. By addressing parents’ need for age-appropriate guidance, practical examples, and confidence-building tools, FAMVERSITY turns everyday family moments into opportunities for reflection, learning, and connection, contributing to a more respectful, inclusive, and diversity-aware society.
FAMVERSITY aims to foster a more inclusive Europe by empowering parents as key facilitators of diversity dialogues within
families.
It aims to develop accessible, age-appropriate resources, to enhance parents’ motivation for lifelong and diversity
learning, and strengthen their skills to discuss diversity confidently.
It also equips adult educators with advanced tools to support intergenerational and family-based diversity learning, promoting open conversations and stronger family bonds.
FAMVERSITY brings together 5 organisations from Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Sweden and Lithuania with expertise in adult education, inclusion & diversity, social innovation, family support and digital learning.
